Restoration of a single tooth with a single implant is the most common implant restoration procedure performed today.  With advances in implants, crown and abutment materials, imaging (CT scanning and optical), and 3D Printing, the single tooth implant has become a viable alternative to the 3-tooth conventional fixed bridge, and even to root canal therapy in many instances.
